The recycled EVA feedstock undergoes a three-stage reprocessing cycle involving mechanical grinding, thermal reactivation, and precision re-foaming to achieve a material performance specification within 5% of virgin EVA across all measured parameters including Shore A hardness, compression set, and tensile strength. Each pair of EcoTread X sandals diverts approximately 180 grams of EVA foam from landfill disposal, contributing to a reduction in solid waste output from the global footwear industry. The strap fastening hardware is manufactured from ocean-recovered polypropylene plastic collected by partner fishing communities in the Gulf of Thailand and the Philippine Sea. Packaging is 100% recycled cardboard with soy-based ink printing and no plastic wrapping. The Podstory EcoTread X carries GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification and is audited annually by the independent Textile Exchange verification body.
